"Stand up . . . protect
them . . . let your voices be heard."
by Patty Fiore pattyval1436@aol.com
I am a Grandmother who has watched the struggles of several of my
grandchildren. It is unfortunate that out of seven, 4 have specific learning
disabilites, with 2 of them also suffering with ADHD and dyslexia. 2 of the
remaining 3 are covered under the protection of Section 504 for ADHD and
Juvenile Diabetes. It is extremely important for New Jersey and all other states
for that matter, to provide a stronger guideline than what the federal law is
now providing.
There The professed governmental concern is pretty much Smoke and Mirrors. If
you take the time and look between the written words, the gray areas are so
scary. They are actually working against our special children.
Stand up to protect them and let your voices be heard.
